Frequently Asked Questions
> Can I create more than 1 button design?
Yes. Our Online Button Designer will allow you to save multiple individual designs. You can go back to previously saved designs, make modifications, and "Save as ..." to create additional versions.
> Do I have to use your design software, or can I just send you my artwork?
You can do either. Doing it yourself with our Online Button Designer is free and after checkout, your order automatically goes into our queue for production. We also offer 3 tiers of design services: Simple Set-Up ($15), Simple Design ($30), and Full Serve ($60). Details of design services and proofing are on every order page.
> What kind of images can I upload?
Compatible image formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, and SVG. Most cell phone photos have enough resolution to use for a button, and the editor will warn you if the resolution is not high enough.
> What size buttons should I order?
Choosing a button size depends on the intended use. Jewellery, group, and band merchandise tends to be in the smaller 1" to 1.5" sizes. If your button needs a photo, a medium to larger size - 1.75" to 3.5" - is more appropriate. Most election and campaign buttons are between 2.25" and 3.5". > As an Ottawa-based business, do I have to go to your store to pick up my buttons? or will you ship my order to me?
Our Ottawa store is now closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but picking up at our warehouse in Napanee is an option. We also ship across Canada. Choose your delivery option at checkout, or let us know when you call to order.
> How much do you charge for shipping?
It depends. We use a number of popular carriers and rates charged are based on location and weight. To find out how much it will cost to ship, you can add your order to the cart and go through most of the steps to checkout. Once you've entered your shipping address you can choose which carrier and timeframe for delivery and see the costs. If you're in Toronto or Napanee Ontario you can also pick up at one of our stores and save the shipping cost.
> What is the turnaround time for custom button orders?
Again, it depends on the size of the order and where it's being shipped. Depending on our production schedule, orders up to 500 buttons can be produced in a day. But it does depend on how many orders we are currently doing so feel free to call. Small orders up to 100 buttons can normally be picked up at our warehouse within a few hours. Shipping within Ontario or the east coast can be up to 3 days. Western destinations may take longer according to carrier options.
